Refund Policy
The Club’s refund policy establishes the specific circumstances under which refunds of registration fees may be considered. This document provides a detailed overview of these conditions to ensure clarity for all members, parents, and players.
Player-Initiated Withdrawal
If a player or their parents choose to withdraw from the club before the end of the playing season, it is crucial to recognize that the club incurs several non-refundable expenses for each registered player. These expenses cover county affiliations, league participation, facility usage, social media activity, kits, and equipment, many of which are committed prior to registration and the beginning of the season.
Club-Initiated Release
In certain cases, after registration, the team manager may determine that a player does not meet the team's expectations or requirements. The manager will attempt to support the player; however, if it is ultimately decided that the player is not a suitable fit, the final decision regarding the player’s continued involvement will be made by the team manager and one committee member.
Parent or Spectator Conduct
Post-registration, if two committee member decides that a parent or spectator is not acting in the best interests of the club, the parent and their dependents may be required to leave the club.
Refund Policy Details
The playing season runs from September 1st to May 31st. All playing kits featuring the Eldon Celtic JFC logo remain the property of the club. Refunds will only be processed once the player has returned all Eldon Celtic JFC playing kits in very good condition. The amount refunded depends on when the club receives the notification of withdrawal:
If the club is notified before September 30th, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded, minus the administration fee.
If notification is received between October 1st and December 31st, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded, minus the administration fee.
If notification is received on or after January 1st, no portion of the registration fee will be refunded.
If the kit has not been returned within 14 days of leaving the club, the full cost of the kit will be deducted from any refund.
It is essential for all parties to understand that a variety of non-refundable expenses are committed for each registered player, including those related to county affiliations, league participation, facility usage, social media activities, kits, and equipment, many of which are incurred before the official start of the season.
Implementation Process
To qualify for a refund, written notice must be submitted to both the Team Manager and the Club Secretary. Once the termination notice is received, the Club Secretary will coordinate the reimbursement of the applicable registration fee. The refund will be issued within 7 days of receipt of the kit, or within 14 days of receipt of the termination notice, whichever is sooner.
